Council Shoulder Patches
Boy Scout councils have produced shoulder insignia for many decades. The early red and white strips were often only for council level Scouters but eventually Jamboree troops wore them in many areas. Then in the early 1970s the red and white designs gave way to full color modern council shoulder patches. Often times the designs include a lot of the local heritage. Today councils issue special CSPs often for events, FOS contributions and anniversaries to name a few.
